www.tribratanews.com. – Jakarta. Chief of Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas Polri), Police Inspector General Istiono, mentioned that during Ketupat Operation 2024 to prevent the spread of Covid-19 held on May 6 – 17, 2021, hundreds of thoudands vehicles had been turned over.
“I mentioned the vehicles that had been turned over (reverse flow) was 41,307. During the operation, from Sumatera to Bali, the number was 453,650,” as mentioned by Kakorlantas.
During First and Second day after Eid, crowd at tourist destination had been breakdown by the police. Vehicles headed to tourist destination that was full, would be requested to turn over.
“In the two-days, vehicles that had been turned over, mostly headed to tourist destination that was overload. We had to manage to prevend crowd," ”as he added.
Kakorlantas expected people to understand the police’s task. It was for the sake to prevent the increasing number of Covid-19.
“I hope people will understand. We’ve tried our best to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” as said by Kakorlantas
